Im interested in the cracks in our lives. The facades we build, the fragile constructs in increasingly technology-driven and digital societies. I like to see the tales we tell ourselves - and then look again. 

I paint on repurposed fabric such as embroidered linen, velour and chenille. Fabric that have lived with someone, carrying stains or holes, traces of everyday life. It struck me how revealing this can be: fabrics of such high quality and beauty, containing hours of (often female) labour and years of care is so easy for us to discard. The idea to use them as a carrier of new stories feels like closing a quiet circle.
